About Rosie M.

Main Motivation
The best thing about EY is the people. I have been fortunate to work with some great teams and individuals, who have made feel safe to express myself and try new things. I am constantly learning from their experiences, and I look forward to continue building my network as I progress.

Greatest Achievement
As part of my work disrupting how employees engage with learning content, I was selected for the Thirty Under 30 2025 programme. This was a great experience where I was able to connect with inspiring peers, engage in thought provoking seminars and have meaningful discussions with industry leaders. My team supported me in applying, and I was grateful for the opportunity to expand my network and apply what I learnt to my own experiences. Outside of my role, I am a keen baker and can often be seen in the office with freshly baked goods. EY have lots of great opportunities to get involved in fundraising, and as well as raising lots of money, my highlights include winning the EY Bake-Off, and creating a gingerbread robot (Rob-EY)! I really value working for an organisation that gives back to the community and encourages me to bring my full self to work 🧁

I am trying to understand how early-career consultants can add value on day one by adapting quickly to real client needs.

What was one practical, early lesson that helped you move from academic thinking to client ready advice?

Hey, Rosie, I hope this message finds you well. As I prepare to transition from academia into consulting, what was one tangible, early habit or adjustment you made to effectively apply structured, academic problem-solving to the dynamic and often ambiguous context of client advisory work?
