I am applying for the business consulting programme. I have read a few articles and case studies about this role to get an understanding of what type of projects I could get involved in. So, I would like to know how much commercial knowledge is needed and what sources of news would you recommend.
Sounds like you're already doing the right thing! You are not expected to know everything when you apply, so having a good baseline understanding of the types of projects EY work on is great. It's always helpful to look into market trends that are having a direct impact on our clients, as this shows you are already focused on how you can help solve client problems. I would recommend using news articles but focus on a topic that interests you as well. Having this knowledge is also a great conversation starter when meeting people in the business. Best of luck with your application process!
