Dear Sir/Madam, I am a second year undergraduate student studying BSc Economics at SOAS, University of London and I am currently looking to apply for summer internships (2018) in the fields of investment banking and financial consulting. I wish to apply for an internship at EY and thus, wanted to clarify the difference between Transactions Support and Transactions Restructuring. Regards, Obaid Khan
Hi Obaid,
Thanks for getting in touch. Transactions Support (TS) predominantly provide financial due diligence services for both buy- and sell-side transactions. TS is the largest team within EY Transactions. Restructuring on the other hand offer lead advisory services for distressed assets (e.g. non performing loans) and can also be appointed as formal insolvency practitioners to wind up a company.
I hope that helps! I am happy to go into further detail on either of these if needed.
Rachel
