Hi Abdulrahman, we operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone.
And I don't believe sitting actuarial exams will help in your application
Hi Abdulrahman, thanks for your message. We run an application bootcamp webinar series (which can be found on our website) which will help you develop the strengths in the areas we look for. More information can be found here: Our events | EY - UK
Sorry Abdulrahman - if the previous link doesn't work, please head to EY > Careers > Students > University
Hope this helps!

Sitting actuarial exams can help show employers you are serious about the actuarial career. I sat CM1 preivately in the year I applied for an actuarial grad scheme. Even if you don't pass the exam (it can be hard to pass without support and it can be expensive) employers will likely appreciate it. This was the case for me.
I think at an application stage there are more important factors that we consider. Our recruitment process comprises of an online assessment, an assessment centre and a final interview. Top tips for our assessment centre would be to ensure you understand and analyse the materials, voice your opinions on the task, include others and showcase how well you can work in a team. With regards to both the video and in person interviews, our top tips would be to ensure you have fully researched EY and can talk about your motivations for choosing EY, the service line and location. Also ensure you are really answering the interview question provided.
Thanks so much for your replies guys, really appreciate it!
