Hi Karman, thanks for your question! I chose to work in actuarial because I got the opportunity to work with the team while I was doing my business consulting summer internship. The team in the Bristol office are very friendly and I got to ask lots of questions about the kind of projects that they got involved with. I was most interested in the more technical nature of actuarial work compared to core business consulting and I felt that I would be able to add more value to the actuarial team because of my background in Physics which is a pretty technical degree.
