Hi Momnah! I chose assurance after using the EY website and doing research about the roles in the different service lines, I also completed a quiz on the EY website which helped determine which service line you might be a good fit for based on your personality. I really liked that assurance meant that you had a very good base experience for starting your career, especially since I wasn't sure what I would end up enjoying. Beginning your career in assurance gives you the ability to kickstart your career with a great qualification and experience that is applicable to other service lines and jobs in the future.
Let me know if you have any questions!
What is it like to work in the assurance department?
What does one expect?
Hey Esther, working in assurance is very varied day-to-day. On a daily basis we usually spend time talking to the client we're working on, having internal meetings with the team we're working with and also quite a lot of training.
Typically I can spend anywhere from a few days to a couple of months working on a client and my clients are very varied which affects the work you do daily.
It's also a very social department and I really enjoyed joining with a group of other graduates as we became friends quickly!
Thank you Samantha!
Thank you Samanthan.
Thank you, Samantha
