So I chose to work in the Tax industry because the variety of client you get the opportunity to work with sounded super exciting. The work is dependent on complex tax issues which are ever-changing, this keeps the work exciting and challenging.

Another reason is the focus on continuous learning and development. During your first three years the training program gives you the chartered accountancy qualification (ICAS) which helps expand your knowledge and skills, while also making you far more employable.

Also the opportunity to work in Canary Wharf, London for a global company like EY felt like a really cool experience to have and having studied Biotechnology at University, I realized a career in STEM wasn't of interest to me hence the tax industry felt like a smart move to utilize my transferrable skills.
