Hi Cheryl!
Hi
So I realised I wanted to work for EY when I had the assessment centre (experience day)
I had just applied to EY as it came up as a placement offer
What made EY stand out to you more than other apprenticeships ?
But when I had reached the experience day stage, I went to the Birmingham office and absolutely loved it! Everyone was so nice and I loved the day and that made me realise EY was for me
EY stood out more as it was part of the big 4- which does seem a bit cliche
What is your responsibilities at EY ?
My responsibities at EY vary from day to day
And what qualifications did you need to start your apprenticeship?
One day i would be speaking to clients and gaining information from them, and the next day i would be testing some controls or testing their numbers are accurate
Also was there any college courses EY put you through as training or did you just start with the hands on experience?
Yes so they gave us a month of training at the start, working towards the ICAS qualification so we have the basic knowledge of accounting before we start!
The amount of training you get at the start varies depending on whether you start as a placement student or as a graduate
