Expectations vs reality?
For me it was the sheer level of support and working on projects that align with my values. You also get a "buddy" and "counsellor" which is quite cool.
Very open and genuine people you get to work with! An environment where they encourage growth and development
Hi Sarah! The things which really drew me to EY was the focus on inclusion and diversity which I felt whilst on the Discover EY programme. I really enjoy working with other people and it was great being able to share our views and insights whilst also listening to other peoples too!
Expectation: Wearing a suit everyday to work. Reality: Currently wearing a hoodie
In all seriousness, it's a lot more relaxed than I thought it would be - there's an emphasis on work/life balance and a genuine drive for diversity, even for social mobility
For me, it was mainly because of their values and focus on Inclusion and Diversity. Everyone I have met so far has been kind and supportive.
Hi Sarah! I chose EY entirely due to the people in the office, the EY culture is brilliant. Everyone I met prior to starting was welcoming and friendly. It really helped to make it an easy transition into the workplace. Since I started working at EY I have still found that to be true with everyone being really keen to help with any questions I have... even a year in! :)
Whenever I interacted with EY employees on insight webinars and LinkedIn, they were all very welcoming and so this made me feel that I'd be able to fit in well with the company :)
During the Spring Week at EY, I am deeply attracted by the good atmosphere at EY, and I was more convinced that I want to be a member at EY. The whole process for Spring Week is very relaxed and useful. It helps me to learn more about the daily routine and know the culture of EY. It is so nice to work with so many great colleagues!
That's so helpful, thank you everyone!
