    Everything you need to learn and know will be taught to you when you join but having an open mind and good communication skills whether that is online or in person is advantageous.Openness to learn and develop as well as good communication skills. Skills in excel and powerpoint are generally helpful and being able to construct emails. Tax is so broad that the more specific skills are likely to vary depending on the service line. I have found that some soft skills that will stand you in good stead are being able to prioritise your workload, being client focused, having problem solving skills and an attention to detail are all helpful. You will be given training on the specifics of your department upon joining.
