For ICAEW - you will usually study the first 6 certificate level exams between September and January.

Thereafter, the cycle very much depends on your service line. You will then either for 2/3 professional exams in June, and the remainder in September or December

The professional level exams can only be sat on specific dates, whereas the certificate level are usually sat remotely, and can be done with relative flexibility
