Hi Hetvi - thank you very much for your question!
As a graduate in the tax advisory department, your day-to-day roles will very much vary, depending on what project you're working on.
For example, one day you may be on a call with the CEO of one client, providing tax advice on a potential investment or acquisition. Other days you may be writing a tax memorandum on a different transaction.
You will be supported by a strong team of people around you, which means you will be working with people all the way up to Partner level!
If you have any more questions, please do let me know
Thank you very much
My offer letter said that the role is based in London would this be the london bridge office or canary wharf?
What would you recommend towards balancing both the studying for the professional qualification and work life?
If you check the Business Unit of your offer letter, it will either say UK&I or FSO. If it is UK&I, you will be in London Bridge and our FSO office is in Canary Wharf.
In terms of balancing work and study, the team are very good and making sure you can prioritise your exams. Ultimately it is about finding a schedule that works best for you - I like to do an hour before work and then the remainder in the evening, but I do make sure I finish on time at 5pm during exam season.
If you let your team know you have exams, they will support you a lot and make sure you can finish work on time, so that you can focus on your studies :)
Thank you very much Annabelle for your response!
Hope you have a good day thanks!
Hi, I was told I would be firstly completing my CFAB qualification, do you have any details regarding the length of time this qualification would take and if I would have to first complete this before I embark on my ICAEW qualifications?
Hi Humza, I have answered your question in the other chat box :)
