When applying for apprenticeships, I found that EY stood out to me with its focus on people, which I can confirm is true as the environment I work in is very team focused and approachable. I chose to apply for the Assurance sector since I felt I could gain the most broad and transferable skills and knowledge from this department.
Thank you for your response. what is your favourite thing about working in assurance?
I think may favourite thing would be the varied teams that I work with, meaning that I tend to rotate clients every 1-2 months. I would also say enjoy the opportunities that it gives me with respect to building relationships and other soft skills as well as knowledge that is transferrable ongoing.
Do you have any advice that you would give me before my interview for my business apprenticeship in assurance- audit
Of course! My biggest tip for preparing for your final interview would be to do as much research as possible and try to find out unique details (such as clients in the office you're applying to) that would impress the interviewer. But I would also say try to be yourself and get your personality across so that you can connect on a human level.
What does you day off work look like?
I would probably be meeting up with friends or seeing family at the weekend! And also getting some rest before the week ahead!
