day-to-day tasks in the sub-service line; opportunities to go into tech advisory after completing the TTT programme
So to give context to my answer - I do not sit in the TTT sub service line - but work in a TTT team in another sub-service line and work closely with core TTT from both FS and UKI. So in my opinion, TTT is a really good place to start your career and provides a good opportunity to apply technology skills to tax problems - in this role there are opportunities to work on data, asset development, research and development and general transformation. In this sub service line you will get unique exposure to emerging technologies such as robotics and AI so really interesting stuff. As you say this lines you up really nicely to be able to confidently discuss technology and take on an advisory role in this, that being said a lot of what is done in TTT already falls nicely under the umbrella of tech advisory.
