Also, on 1v1 interview, would it be competencies based questions in general? Is there any qualities that consulting division specially looking for? Thank you.
Hi Ashley, in the assessment centres we look at a number of different skills like 1-1 communication, team-working skills, etc.For the interview, you will be given a presentation to prepare and also the rest of the questions are strengths based, not competency based. We don't require any previous work experience or knowledge for the role.Just general research on EY and the role you've applied for will be enough, to show passion of why you have applied to that area
Thanks Rachel, these are informative enough, will take a good look into them, thanks again!
Hi Rachel - could you please explain the difference between strengths based and competency based?
Strengths based interviewing is where we ask you questions about things like team-working, adapability, communication skills. Competency based is where we would expect you to have prior work experience and to be able to demonstrate how you can performed the job before and are able to perform it in this role. This is more for experienced professionals rather than student roles. We like to focus on transferable skills
I see! Thank you for explaining!
