Hi Eve!
Hi, Oliver
I work in FSO Assurance practice in London
Cool. I am thinking about applying for this role.
Before the work from home guidance was introduced, I was most often based at the client site. We interact with the client frequently to pose questions and obtain support for our audit procedures. Now that the team and the client are working from home, we've had to adapt the way we communicate. Still plenty of client contact and video calls with the team to discuss work and have informal catch ups!
Thank you. Could I ask what is the difference between the future career path of UKI Assurance and the future career path of FSO Assurance?
FSO is financial servces (banking and capital markets, insurance, wealth and asset management) and is part of EMEIA (Europe, Middea East, India, Africa). UKI covers other industries including retail and energy.
After the three-year graduate program, would EY provide more choices for the associate to specialise in Financial service?
Hi Eve! Career development opportunities across both UK&I and FSO are broadly similar beyond your three years as an associate, the main difference being the sector focus
Thank you, Josh.
Hi, just got offered a place on the Assurance grad scheme! So excited! Can anyone comment on exactly how, when and where the study aspect for the professional qualification in London is delivered?
Hi Andrew. Your college format will depend on whether you're joining as an apprentice or a graduate. External tuition providers deliver the courses before you sit your exams with either ICAEW or ICAS. Previously all college was in-person, however recent blocks have been delivered virtually due to COVID-19.
