Hello! Thanks for your question. The business apprentice route is the equivalent to a full time job essentially so you will be working monday to friday as normal. When exams fall, you will have study leave from work to attend classes, for revision days or for the exam itself. On the apprentice route the exams fall differently to that of graduates and you will complete the first level of ICAS (Test of Competence) over several sittings - sitting no more than two exams at one time which means you will get a lot of on the job exposure at this point. Once you reach the second level of ICAS (Test of Professional Expertise) towards the end of year 3 this is when you will sit exams in line with the graduates which will see blocks of 5 weeks out of office on study leave.
