Hi Gwen, I did a summer internship in consulting in 2018. This is a six week programme so I was only involved in one project. Typically I was on client site, sitting in on client meetings to take down minutes and actions. I was also given ownership of some key client deliverables which I would review and update weekly. I was surprised at how much responsibility and client contact you are given as an intern and I really enjoyed it. As a placement student you will probably get the opportunity to experience a wide range of projects and meet lots of different clients. Your day-to-day activities will depend on the project that you are supporting. No two days are the same.
