Hello - please see the response from Alice, an Assurance Senior based in our EY Reading office:
I personally love the culture in the Reading office. I’ve been really lucky and had such fun and supportive teams. This means I have a great network of coaches who I learn loads from as well as being able to have a laugh with. If this is through daily Sporcle competitions (competition is rife on the BA team) or team events such as a singing date which is a great way to unwind and socialise with your teams. However, I’ve also had great opportunities to get involved in activities outside of my audit teams including training and college with other people in my year as well as audit wide events and office wide events. These include Thorpe park, Newbury races, Christmas drinks and many more. When you join EY you’ll be assigned a buddy who is the year above and can be there for any questions (no question is a stupid question) and a counsellor (normally a couple of ranks above you) who will guide you through the scheme and also be there to help with all questions. You’ll also develop your own networking channels and find people who can mentor you through all things work and career related.
