Hey, I would say one big learning experience is that you are often expected to drive your own learning and tasks using initiative and the resources available to you. This puts you in a great place to develop your personal leadership skills. Whilst being a consultant you also get to experience areas of work that do not align to your skillset so its important to make the most of these experiences and develop for the future. As you get the opportunity to work across multiple clients, you learn great amounts about a variety of industries!
Thats very interesting to hear. Did you find any difficulties having to learn about a variety of industries? The reason as to why I ask this, is because I presume you would only have a short amount of time to learn about various industries.
You learn quickly and being handson on client premises always helps. There has never been a case where it has been too difficult to learn the client/industry landscape, i've worked across infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, insurance and more
Thank you very much for your advice its always useful to gain these industry insights whilst being at an early stage within my professional career.
