I'd say Assurance is about analysing a company's processes to understand it and Audit is the particular branch of monitoring a company's financial statements to make sure they're true and fair (which we do by a series of audit tests, requesting client documents, asking the client questions)
Hi Diya, assurance is essentially giving the client confidence that their financial statements are a true and fair representation of their current position. This in turn gives confidence to the client and the general public.
Ahh ok thanks
Also how would you get into degree apprenternship? And when would you need to apply?
Hi Diya! I am doing the Digital Degree apprenticeship within Assurance. It is one of the options on the EY careers page but is only offered in certain offices. The apprenticeship starts in September each year and i think the applications are open now. https://www.ey.com/en_uk/careers/students/programmes/schools/digital-tech
So would i have to apply to this in year 12 or 13?
Apprenticeship roles are open for people to apply in year 13 and beyond here: ey.com/uk/apprentices
. We also have a business academy for year 12 students to apply to here: https://www.ey.com/uk/businessacademy
Hi Diya, for all of our apprenticeship programmes you would apply in Year 13
Alright thank youu
