In one sense, it depends on what form of tax you're dealing with. Whether that be VAT, Corporate tax, private client taxes, expatriate taxation, etc. And not to be cliche, speaking from personal experience no two days are really the same and it really depends on what weird and wonderful things your clients throw at you!

Thanks Shane! I am looking more into private client tax. Although every day varies, what are some of the general responsibilities people will have in this field? Also, what are the pay opportunities like?

Private client taxes will be much more in the detail when it comes to actually completing tax returns and tax planning - both of which will be a core part of what you do day-to-day. The pay opportunities vary by office, but I think starting salary for graduates will fall in the range of 27-34k GBP
