Hey Khristy, so coming from a tax background, I tried to revise the basics of accounting principles. I also made sure I was familiar with the entire accounting process of corporation tax as that was the role I applied for.
I would highly recommend making yourself aware of the latest news in tax worldwide. I remember talking about the changes in some US tax laws which impressed my interviewer. It's all about these small things where you need to be aware of the role, background and updates.
I recommend materials like HMRC manuals to understand GAAP principles and accounting standards.
