Hi! My name is Vincent. I work for the valuations team in transaction advisory services. In terms of skills you need all of EY requires similar skills. The biggest and most talked about is team work, in our day to day work we are always working as a team within the team or with other service lines so teamwork, communication and being flexible is extremely important

Hi Vincent, thanks a lot for your response. When working in the Valuations team, do you execute valuations for projects/companies involved with other departments at EY, such as M&A, or work with clients on an independent basis?

Yes, we are a global company so we constantly work with other departments and even other locations. For instance, I'm currently working with the audit team. Previous projects I've worked with the financial services department. In TAS one of the best things is that the work is diverse

Thanks Vincent. Sounds like there is a lot of collaboration between teams, globally and inter-department!

Yep! And also you'll be put in front of clients quickly so if you want exposure this is a great department to be in

That is one of the primary reasons I applied for the role! Had a lot of client interaction during my previous internships which gave me a lot of exposure!

That's the case for my department. Just need to choose the right role, but generally TAS is more client focused
