Hi Sandra - video interviews can be quite daunting at first but if I could give any tips it would be to speak clearly, not too fast, and make sure you look at the camera lens just as if you were looking someone in the eye in real life.
Thank you Joel
Do you have any tips for assessment centres?
Hi Sandra - don't be afraid to practise with your peers and friends too to give you the confidence when you do have to complete it. I'd always practise on your table / smartphone to make you used to having to speak for two minutes. We measure on strengths so really identify what your key strengths are and practise talking about them for 2 minutes.
I'd also say for Assessment centres... At EY ours are very collaborative so just remind yourself on why you're passionate about the company and be yourself. Get involved with each activity (whether it's group discussion or one on one activities). We also measure on strengths at this stage as well :)
Thank you! I enjoyed my assessment centre at EY although I wasn’t expecting so many undergrads. Even though we all pretty much completed the same tasks, is the assessment criteria different for undergrads and those applying for an apprenticeship?
The activities are the same and the requirements are the same for both as there's an overall benchmark we measure success on - we never measure candidates against each other but our apprentices are usually all together in the same group with a few other students and our EY team are aware of this
Oh, okay. Thank you again for your help.
You're very welcome - good luck!!!
