I have completed a BSc Bikmedical Science and MSc in Biochemistry. I have some exposure in project management and I have completed the Prince 2 foundation course.
Hi Hamza, business consulting takes people from all degree backgrounds
A lot of what we do uses the analytical skills you gain from a STEM degree
Is there any specific things that you would advise to read up on to gain knowledge to include in the application, or anything I could maybe gain some experience in prior to the lives become live again?
Something that would stand out?
Your exposure to project management will stand out
I have coordinated client projects in a furniture company, currently I am employed as a project support officer by the NHS, the project involved the migration from the current system called civics Paris to a new system called TPP System One
I am also hoping to complete Prince 2 practitioner very soon
Any courses you can do on data would be beneficial as this is a real focus for the firm
Is there any particular courses you would recommend?
SQL and Python are both very popular and there's lots of free courses on these available
Or would something like LinkedIn courses look good?
I will definitely look out for them
LinkedIn courses are also valuable :)
I will look into them on LinkedIn
Good Luck!
I graduated from my MSc in 2018, is there a cap to when you stop being considered for graduate schemes?
Not at all, we accepted applicants from any year of graduation.
That’s good to hear
Just seen a notification there’s 10 mins left, I did have a question but I’ve gone completely blank
No worries Hamza - we're hear until 17.30pm
Thank you, hopefully it might come back to me haha
This might be a graduate scheme live chat , but is their any experience hire route I could potentially take to get into consulting at EY?
Hi Hamza - please check out all of our available roles for experienced hire at ey.com/uk/careers
Thank you all for taking your time out to answer our questions, the question still hasn’t come back to me, so if you don’t mind I might contact you via LinkedIn if I do recall the question, it would most likely be for Sam
No problem
