What are your most commonly used technologies and tools in your line of work?Which is your favourite?Which ones do you spend most of your time with?
Hi Tibor. Great question. It varies greatly by team and what project you are on. Naturally, we spend a lot of time on Excel, but supplement this with more specific and bespoke tools. For example, one of my colleagues recently created their own tool in R (statistical software) to support pension schemes in selecting an investment manager best suited to the pension schemes investment beliefs and objectives. EY also recently launched our own generative AI model.
From a Non-Life perspective, Excel is also a software that we spend a lot of time with. Power Bi is used too, and there is room for programming languages like Python if you have skills in this area too. For non-life we use in-house software to predict the insurance claims that happen in the future.
@Thomas G. Sounds interesting,@Ayokunle J. I love python
