Question aimed at Sam E

Hi Sam, I hope you are well. I am studying International Business Management and Economics BSc at the University of Loughborough. My current grade is a 1st, along with being an Enterprise Management Undergraduate of the Year 2020 runner-up. It would be greatly appreciated if you could briefly explain the different types of consulting roles in which EY offers. With the current situation meaning staff are mainly working from home, is there the possibility of placements being carried out on a similair basis, or would EY just not role them in the first place? All the best

We have quite a few consulting roles. Business consulting is the where you'd work on large transformation and business/ process improvement activities.

There is also technology consulting, which helps client deal with various things such as large programme implementations such as SAP.

I work in Technology Risk Consulting, we're quite strange in that we sit in consulting but also service our assurance clients so we get a great breadth of experience. We also have the option to complete the ACA which i've found to be a really useful qualification in my work.

Regarding working from home, it would depend on the length of the programme and government guidance at the time. all our incoming graduates will work from home and we'll be couriering any equipment (such as EY laptops) to allow them to get started.

Thank you for a great breakdown of the different routes in which EY offers. I love the idea of being able to stretch across different roles with the ability to gain a wider breadth of knowledge. EY sound very organised in terms of how they will operate in the current climate, and it is nice to know the contingencies have been put in place. Thank you again for your advice. All the best Dan
