Hi Josh, Hope you are having a wonderful day. To begin with, I really apologise if you are not the right person to raise this concern with. My name is Medi, a 2024 graduate from London. I have recently applied for a role at EY. Unfortunately, I have failed the online assessment. Honestly, it was my first time ever performing in such assessments, and I was quite a bit nervous. I feel like I have failed myself, as I was looking forward to this the most. Especially since working in assurance in one of the top firms have been a dream of mine. I am happy to apply after 6 months, however I do not want to be met with disappointment again. If it is possible, would you be able to share any thing that I could implement carrying forward. Or if there is another way to get myself started to be working at EY. I am deeply sorry if I sound desperate. But I want to take this moment as a learning opportunity and would appreciate any advice you might offer. Thank you, Medi 694380
Hi there,
Many thanks for question and outlining your personal circumstances.
Firstly, I would like to thank you for your interest in EY and whilst you didn't receive the outcome that you had hoped for, I will do my best to supply you with helpful tools if you do decide to re-apply.
As you correctly said, we have a 6 month re-application rule, meaning you can submit another application 6 months from receiving your rejection email. In order to support your preparation for next time, I would advise you to take a look at this URL - https://www.ey.com/en_uk/careers/students/strengths which outlines EY's core strengths which we look for in our candidates. This will give you a solid understanding of the typical skills that you need to succeed in our Student programmes. Our website in general has some really helpful tools and resources to build your knowledge of us as a firm, as well as assessment tips!
Hopefully you decide to re-apply to us, and I wish you the very best with your future application.
