Hi, there are plenty of side-desk opportunities with EY. You get assigned 2 days a year as 'charity days' which you have autonomy to choose when you use this and what on. There is also an EY foundation that works directly with EY - there are a lot of opportunities here to get involved in Charity work etc!
I have just done some volunteering with the EY Foundation - Employability Skills Workshop for half a day with Junior School students and Mock interviews with a few 16-17 year olds. The EY Foundation is all about helping those from low income backgrounds get into Employment.
We have EY Ripples which is our global corporate responsibility program, which provides you with opportunities to use your knowledge, skills and experience to positively impact millions of lives through supporting the next generation, working with impact entrepreneurs and accelerating environmental sustainability.
