Is there a time period window before or after my start date that I should keep free?

Hi, for Graduate, Business Apprentice and Industrial Placement joiners it is not advised that holidays are booked during the first few months of your employment at EY as these may conflict with college study dates, depending on if you are studying for a professional qualification. Once you join EY, you will find out more about your schedule and how to submit leave requests. If you know that you will need
time off work for another reason (e.g, medical purposes, close family event), please contact your
    Recruiter.

Thank you Hania for your reply. How about for interns this summer? Would it be advisable to not book holidays the month leading up to the internship?

You shouldn't need to keep any days completely free before your start date.
