Hi Aleena, I am a graduate in the Enterprise Risk team, albeit in Manchester. Happy to answer any questions you may have!
What do the first couple of weeks look like ? And when do you start working with clients ?
Your first couple of weeks will mainly be inductions and trainings to get you familiarized with the work we do in our team. In my experience, we were on study leave after our induction weeks to attempt our first two ACA exams, although this may vary for each cohort.
How many exams are there ?
For ACA, there are 15 total exams. First 6 are your certificate level exams, then the next 6 are professional followed by the final 3 which are your advanced exams
You also would have to log in 450 days of practical work experience to achieve the ACA qualification
When you will be on your first client is dependent on the pipeline at the time and the opportunities available. But to rest assured that our resourcing team will ensure you are resourced onto your first engagement as soon as possible.
So will it be ICAS or ICAEW that I will be doing ?
These 15 exams are over the course of 3 years right ?
Hi there the professional qualification does vary by service line however as a grad it is more likely to be ICAS. These exams are spread over the graduate scheme in manageable blocks.
Thanks
