Thanks for your question! In TD we do have resourcing "pools" for different sectors, within which you'll have teams that focus on that sector. However this doesn't affect the opportunities you'll have to work across different sectors when you join, as you don't do every project with the team you're in, you will often work in teams that are outside of your resourcing pool. For example when I joined I was in energy, but I also did an infrastructure project within that team, and I then worked on a tech sector project after that with a different team.
It also depends on the region you join in - the regional offices tend to work in a variety of sectors whereas in London the resourcing pools are more specific to certain sectors. I joined in London in the energy team which was very much focused on this sector, however since moving to Manchester I've done projects in a number of different sectors all within the same team.
I think I wouldn't be concerned either way, as if you ever did want to work on a project in a specific sector this is definitely something you could arrange. Let me know if you have any further questions :)
