Hi Mark, hope you are well and thanks for the question. In terms of crafting your CV, I would quite honestly craft your CV in the normal format we view CVs everyday which would be 1) Introduction about yourself/skill set (normally a short paragraph and I would relate skill set in terms of why you would be looking to move into AI) 2) Education History and 3) Work History covering the 20 years of running your own business including managing staff, operations of the business etc...
What should be the ideal length of a CV ?
Thanks - CV length is also an interesting question, because I could go on about my business all day. I need to have the right length of CV to get the interview, then the rest I can talk about when I get there!
The ideal length of the CV would be 2/3 pages normally. In order to reduce CV content I would put more effort into the most recent employment experience
In my own CV as an example, I have cut down drastically on roles I worked in from graduating. You would still want to list employment and the dates but particularly employment from years back (unless you feel they have relevance to a role that you are applying) I would keep the description of the role to a sentence. The best premise to work on, is what do you think the hiring manager will want to look at on your CV and most relevant to the role you are applying for
