If we are exempt from any CIMA exams, will we be able to finish our Certificate Level early?

E.G. If we are exempt from 2 exams and we only have 2 to complete, will we do both of these in the 1st year of our graduate programme or will they be spread over the 2 years?

Hey Aisha. You should be able to finish quicker as you can schedule your exam days to fit your schedule

How do we know if we qualify to be exempt from the exams?

  • Anonymous

You can check the CIMA website and see if your qualifications count towards an exemption I believe

Thanks for your response Jake! How long does it typically take to study for each exam? Do we all study at our own individual pace and schedule our exams accordingly or are there set dates and deadlines that we need to meet?

There's a centrally set schedule for you to work to which helps space them out to make them more manageable. You can shift these if you have to for client commitments etc. but it's best to try to work to them

Okay thank you! What typically tends to be the gap between each exam? Also, what is EY's policy regarding study leave?

  • Anonymous

You have 2 years to complete it. And the gap between each one is around 3 months (so the aim is to finish within 1 year). You're also given a few days study leave too

They'll cover all of this in a lot more detail in your Induction :)
