Would the skipping result in gap then ? How do the recruiters look at it ?

Or should one just tailor and mentioned only those responsibilities matching to the JD

Hello Reshmi thanks for your question. I would always tailor your CV in accordance with the job description you are applying for which will list out the mains skills and requirements. That way when the recruiter is looking at your CV, it is easier to identify suitable candidates for the role. If you were applying for different sector roles then tailoring your CV will be more of a challenge. If say however your background was in technology and you were applying for technology roles and the role was specifically requiring ERP experience, it would be easier to tailor your experience around that skills set and adjust the CV than if you were applying for a different sector and would need to really adjust and tailor your CV

E.g if I have 5.5 years experience (match with job description) in Assurance. But additional experience in Internal Audit as well. Should I mention just the 5.5 years or the additional one as well.

It's not relevant and not required, so a one liner stating the career profile would be enough or not?

I would include both in that case example but I would probably tailor and scale down on the internal audit experience and make the 5.5 years more of a priority and stand out in the CV
