Hi Vladislava, yes - as long as your are in your 2nd year you are eligible to apply for the Summer Internship! We also have Industrial Placements for students that require a placement year as part of their degree. You can find out more about each programme on our website - https://www.ey.com/en_uk/careers/students/programmes/undergraduates

Thank you! One more question. My placement year should be in a German-speaking country, I assume it means that I should apply via the German EY website and deal with the procedures there. Am I right?

Hi Vladislava. I studied German and economics at university and have also had some experience applying to EY Germany so I think I can answer your question. You would need to apply directly to EY Germany or maybe Austria to ensure you meet those requirements. They have separate hiring channels to EY UK

Thank you for answering my question! Was it similar to the application process in the UK?

No problem. It is quite different to the UK process I must say but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. So firstly the differences are: you need a Lebenslauf (CV) and Anschreiben (cover letter). These will be in German and have different conventions so I’d definitely recommend doing some research.

You might be used to doing online numerical reasoning tests among others after applying in UK. This is very rare in Germany and I doubt they’d ask for this. If they like your documents they will likely offer you an interview after this. I’m not too sure what happens after that since I haven’t gotten that far myself but hopefully that has helped clarify some stuff
