I was rejected after interview and I was told that I did not demonstrate integrity.
Hello, and thanks for your question! I think when it comes to demonstrating integrity, you probably want to follow the same steps as you would for any other answer. That is, choose an example and use the STAR method - explain the situation, the task you had to accomplish, what actions you took, and the ultimate result. If you can give any reflections on what you learned, that will also look great.
As a little hint, accountancy bodies normally define integrity as ”being straight-forward and honest in all business dealings”. You might want to think of a time where you’ve had an incentive to be dishonest - e.g. in an exam at school - and how you showed integrity by doing the right thing.
Thank you - this is very helpful.
