I was just wondering what the role entails and if I can speak to someone who will be in my team before I join in September?
Or perhaps someone from tax?
Hi Vivek, thanks for your question! You will be assigned a buddy who over the coming months who will reach out to you prior to your start date. They will be able to answer any questions about the team you'll be joining!
I will let another colleague come back to you in regards to your question about the role itself who is better placed to advise :)
Hi Vivek - I work in the International Tax Team and from my experience you will be providing tax technology advice to companies based all over the world. You will be able to come up with innovative solutions to key tax technology issues that clients are facing :)
Thank you so much Mollie and Annabelle! That is really useful to know
I also have a couple of other questions about EY in general
1) What makes EY stand out from the other Big 4? Apart from being the best, obviously
The culture! Everyone is so supportive and wants you to succeed within the business. I remember assessing you at your assessment day Vivek so great to speak to you again!
2) Roughly what proportion of graduates stay at EY after the scheme? Is there a possibility to move to a different service line after the scheme ends? For example, I am very interested in new technology for example
Oh yes of course, hello Matt! I really enjoyed my Assessment Day :-)
With the advancement of technology we are seeing all service lines adopt new technologies so I'm sure there will be a chance within your role to be heavily on Tech projects
