I have one year experience working in Accounting practice, would I still be able to apply for Tax Apprenticeship?

Hello, I have one year experience working in Accounting firm in Audit, but I really want to move into Tax services. I have passed 3 ACA exams so far. My question is, does having this experience and having already completed 3 of the ACA, no longer allows me to apply for Tax Apprenticeship in EY?

Hi there, thanks for your question. All applications are reviewed on a case by case basis, I recommend having a look at the eligibility section for the programme you're interested in for more information. For example for the Tax Apprenticeship programme it states:

We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone.

England and Northern Ireland: You will, need a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and to have completed three A-levels or (equivalent e.g. BTEC Nationals) by the time the programme starts.

Scotland: You will need a minimum grade C National 5 (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and be working towards completing 5 Highers or be working towards a SCQF Level 6/7 by the time the programme starts.

To be eligible to join EY’s apprenticeship programme you must not have previously completed an honours or masters degree in any subject.

I hope this helps! Alternatively feel free to contact Student Recruitment on +44(0)800 289 208 between Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5.30pm UK time.
