Hi, I am currently in my final year of the tax apprenticeship
Could you just give me some insight into the work and learning balance
Hi, do any of yourselves work within the People Advisory Services Mobility and Reward team? If so, what are your day-to-day responsibilities?
I would say each day is different and there isn't a standard day to day. For someone at my level, graduate, I can be working on engagement maintenance such as getting invoices out or chasing clients/overseas EY offices for deliverables or data we need or I can have meetings all day and they can either be in person or virtual. Really just depends what your diary looks like.
Of course @janaid - I have sections out at college, and sections in the office. So usually I spend a week in college studying towards the charted accountant qualification, followed by a few months in the office. I also spend some evenings and week ends revising on the lead up to exams. There is also internal training specific to your department.
Do let me know if you have any other questions in relation to the appenticeship! I am more than happy to answer.
It is worth adding that qualifications are generally taught in a classroom however there are some self study days. Also you can opt in to do the college live on line if that suits you better.
