Hello! What were you up to in the four year gap? Explain this in the CV with the skills and experience you have gained in that time. I would advise not to leave it blank

I was doing a degree on an unrelated topic to my field and got a baby

Perfectly fine, I am sure you learnt a lot from this and congratulations!

I too did an unrelated degree to what I am in now, but I've always included it as I learnt lots of transferrable skills

great. so you mention that I both cv and cover letter right?

I think the main thing is you're mentioning it on your CV as this is the first document we look at! But yes, if you're doing a cover letter - do mention on there along with your passion, skills and experience summary for the role. We are all people behind the screen so saying that you've spent the last four years studying and have a baby now, is actually really relatable to many!

Hi, I am an EY Alumni and I too had a 4 year gap on my CV before applying for a role. In my experience, I was not asked about it and still got the job however always good to be prepared if you do :)
