I have 5.5 years experience in EY Assurance (2016 to 2021). Can I pursue a return to the EY via the Actuarial Dept.

Hi Amina, you're more than welcome to apply and go through the application process. We've historically had members of the team who have worked in accounting and have made the transition to actuarial. Shereen in the chat joined our ITRA team originally before joining Actuarial.

Alright. Can you kindly give any pointers to make my CV stand out for that. Considering my base experience is related to Assurance. But now I am gonna apply for Actuarial

Hi Amina!I think if you are applying through the graduate program, we don't ask for CVs or cover letters. You will need to pass the different assessments.

I am expecting that since I already don't have the Actuarial experience so my application is gonna be rejected right away?

Thank you Shereen. I was hoping to get more tea on your experience 😄 hopefully that would be helpful for me.

Hi Amina, an application can be made from other backgrounds as well, even without direct Actuarial experience. I was a teacher when I applied to join the actuarial grad scheme :). It is important to show your interest in the role however you can.

Alright. Can you kindly guide regarding the application process. Seemingly it's different from the general application for other experienced roles I believe.

I am aware that EY professional training and development programs are very well equipped so I won't have trouble adapting. The only issue is getting the opportunity for that.
