I am planning to go back home April to August, could I start my visa application process in August?

I am planning to go back home from April to August. Since we couldn't go oversea after the visa application starts, could I start my visa application process in August? Will this be too late?

    I am currently holding a grad visa that expires in 2024, and will apply for the tier 2 visa.

    Hi, if you're on a Tier 4 or grad visa and it expires after 7/9/23 then you'll need to be in the UK before that
