Hi, I would also like to know how quickly into starting the examinations start/ what the support is like?
This varies depending on other factors. From my experience there were 2 exams in October, 2 in November, 2 in January and 3 in June.
You get provided with a tuition provider by EY and learning materials. You also have designated study time off for this that is separate from your annual leave.
How did you balance your work and revising for exams ?
Can I also ask, how does the balance between study and work days work? Do we start studying pretty much straight away? (Joining as an Assurance Graduate)
It is possible. I spent time in the evenings studying and one day in the weekend too in the lead up to exams. Communication with your team members is also key and everyone is very understanding of this.
How long roughly are the exams?
Is it possible to defer exams if you have an extenuating circumstance?
The first six exams are 90 minutes long (speaking from an ACA perspective)
After you qualify are there opportunities to move into other areas of the business ? How does the process work
You can defer exams - these are assessed on a case by case basis.
What is EY's policy on passing exams on the first attempt?
Thank you!
Whilst it is nice to pass first time, EY understands that for reasons sometimes beyond our control this is not always possible. For the ACA qualification, the Certificate Level has two attempt opportunities. For the Professional level, there are three attempts. There is also a case-by-case review if necessary.
