Hey there - I sit within People Advisory Services, Workforce Advisory - Which is a form of consulting, so I feel like I can answer this question :)
I'd say it completely depends on your project. Travel has definitely decreased since COVID-19 - And EY really takes a 'hybrid' approach to work.
On some engagements, there is quite frequent travel within the UK (and even abroad) to client site. Whereas others there is minimal. For my last engagement, I only had to travel from London to Milton Keynes every 6 weeks or so...
So it literally depends on your engagement!
Hope this helps - And let me know if you have other questions :)
Hi Dilon, thank you for answering! And how about the travel notice? Woudl you know about your travel weeks beforehand? I wonder this because I don't want to commit to some local activties if I will be travelling on short notice.
No problem at all :) From my engagements, I would always be notified weeks in advance of when travel would be required. EY is a super flexible employer, so would understand if you had outside commitments which meant you wouldn't be able to travel. We're big on work-life balance here, so it would just be an open conversation you'd have with your manager :)
But again... Kinda depends on your engagement. I know that's not a helpful answer lol!
Sounds great. It's helpful!
