Also is there scope to look at private clients (individuals rather than companies in tax)
Hi Oliver - thank you very much for your question.
The only difference between FSO and UK&I Tax is the type of clients you will be working on. In FS, you will work with clients either in the Wealth & Asset Management, Banking or Insurance industries. In UK&I, your sectors would include Real Estate & Oil and Gas. There normally isn't much option to try both, as the teams are separate, but the actual tax technical work you do will be very similar :).
We do work with a lot of private clients, as well as companies. I work with private clients, corporations, fund and more!
I hope this helps, but please do let me know if you have any more questions!
That is great thanks Annabelle!
No problem!
Hi Annabelle, as a Tax & Technology graduate would I mostly be working as part of a team or would I have Individual duties?
Hi Humza - you will do both, some tasks will be very team orientated and on other engagements you will have greater individual duties.
I cannot wait, I am extremely excited to start and hit the ground running! As a tax graduate, I presume most of my work would be office based, is that right? (as opposed to client meets, which is more heavily done by the audit team)
I'm glad that you are excited to start - we are excited for you to join :) A lot of your work will be office based, but you will also have lots of in-person client meetings and lunches!
Wonderful stuff, thank you Annabelle! Hope you have a fantastic day.
