Hi Harry, good question! EY provides a range of feedback and mentorship opportunities, both formal and informal. These can include regular informal catch-ups with your manager, an assigned counsellor who is typically a few ranks above you, and you are always encouraged to reach out to others within your department and beyond for mentorship.

Hi Mohammad, I hope you’re well. I also wanted to find out how regular feedback sessions occur and how does EY support graduates with their studies?

Hi Harry - we generally receive two types of feedback, both formal and informal. In audit, when we finish on an engagement, we are expected to obtain feedback from the managers that we have worked with and have a meeting with them to discuss performance, what went well, areas we could improve etc. Seniors and managers are always very receptive to providing informal feedback throughout your engagement as well, and can be incredibly helpful.

Hi there, EY has a buddy system - where you have someone in your team a few years above you who can guide you through anything in an informal way. Everyone is also assigned a counsellor, who provides more formal support and pastoral care - this is the person who ensures your development is on track and you get what you want out of your EY career. If you do the apprenticeship programme you will also be assigned a coach who further supports your development at college (if doing an accounting qualification) and work.
