Hello! It depends which team you join and whether the exams are mandatory or not. For example, I work in Expat tax and ATT was mandatory - we were out for circa the first 5 weeks after we joined on 'study leave' for studying/exams, and then began in office

Thank you very much Nina. I applied the Tax Graduate Programme, among this programme I don't know which service line the graduates will be assigned to, or if this programme means graduate can rotate between service lines in tax department?

Okay perfect. As you'll be on the grad programme, it's likely you'll be allocated to a subservice line, for example I am in Expat tax (looking at individuals flowing into and away from the UK, their residency positions/advice around how best to plan)

You will receive paid study-leave for any mandatory exams, and then you would likely have to take AL for any optional/non-mandatory study

for example, CTA is not mandatory for me and so I would have to take AL to study
