Top tips for our assessment centre would be to ensure you understand and analyse the materials, voice your opinions on the task, include others and showcase how well you can work in a team. With regards to both the video and in person interviews, our top tips would be to ensure you have fully researched EY and can talk about your motivations for choosing EY, the service line and location. Also ensure you are really answering the interview question provided.
Thanks, besides reading through the company website and it's social media - what other ways do you recommend to broaden my understanding of the company and the role I've applied to?
When addressing motivation for choosing office location - what are some of the do's and don'ts?
I think doing research on the role itself is extremely important. So researching what an actuary does and understanding it is key. Being authentic is important in answering these questions, specifically the office location.
I understand but I always struggle when addressing my motivation for choosing the location. Do you have any pointers for this?
I think being honest as to why you applied for this location is important, maybe finding out things about it that you are interested in or resonate with you
okay so my answer can include points about the city itself and not EY in that city?
I would suggest try to be strategic. we want to hear why you want to work at EY and at the location of your choice :)
got it, thanks
